I am looking for resources on Vietnam. I am looking for a 10 minute overview youtube piece in particular. (I know, trying to summarize Vietnam in 10 minutes - not an easy task.) Any help would be appreciated!

I have this: http://www.delicious.com/network/sherman8/vietnam and this: http://www.diigo.com/network/mrpotter2/tag/vietnam to share

Here are my Vietnam War resources: http://www.delicious.com/kyteacher/vietnam
I use the first 15 minutes of Oliver Stone's Platoon to give an overview of the problems American soldiers had fighting in Vietnam - it is a way into the topic and then allows us to look at film as an historical interpretation.
Here is the online resource guide the Primary Source librarian put together for Vietnam:

I'm just now unwrapping these resources as I plan my units for the new year. Thank you!

The Choice Program has a great set of debates and background materials here http://www.choices.edu/resources/supplemental_vietnam.php but I've also used select clips from The Fog of War by McNamara on Vietnam.  Choices has stuff on that too here http://www.choices.edu/resources/detail.php?id=55.  Also, you can select clips from Vietnam: a Television History (PBS) on Youtube here http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=vietnam+television+hist...
My Wars & Conflicts have Vietnam sites Vietnam War links

I found this: http://www.khanacademy.org/video/vietnam-war?playlist=History

It is a bit longer than 10 minutes, though.

Here is a resource from the PBS NewsHour, an interview with author Tim O'Brien who wrote "The Things They Carried" - comes with classroom discussion questions. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/extra/video/blog/2010/04/author_tim_obr...

Not a youtube video, but I use bits and pieces from this lesson, including the take-home interview, which the kids enjoy.  They really like interviewing their neighbors, grandparents, etc. about the war.
