So lets make it official. The first book the #sschat book club will be discussing "Amusing Ourselves to Death" by Neil Postman. This was the book we were discussing when the Idea of the book club was concieved. The second book that we will be discussing is the book "What If?" by Robert Cowley, if you are interested get you hands on a copy. More information will be forthcoming. Dates will be clarified shortly. Also look for a book suggestion vehicle on the site soon. Until then contact me on twitter if you have suggestions.

So far I am loving the discussion of how the medium of communication effects the message and can be in fact the message. I am sitting here waiting for the kids to go to sleep so I can dive in. Comment by Bill Chapman on June 6, 2011 at 9:11pm: Andrea, Shawn has asked me to moderate the discussion of Amusing Ourselves to Death. He wants to devote the month of July to discussing it. So, I guess you have the rest of this month to read and enjoy. I'm working up a set of possible discussion questions, which I hope to post soon. Hopefully, group members can think about them as they are reading, and maybe even add some of their own. I'm not yet sure about how we'll format the discussion, but hope to have a discussion about that later in June.
