It's certainly on the radar, and we expect some PD time soon, but other than hiring more curriculum administrators at central office, we haven't done much, at least at the high school, where I teach.
Permalink Reply by Susan Connelly on February 28, 2012 at 10:36am Our school has revamped the new Math CCs but has just started looking at SS/LA Common Core Standards. The State of NH is focused on Math and LA right now. Recently received an email from our principal from the state looking for volunteers to explore CC application and assessment this month. I am looking at it independently so I know where we are going. What is your school doing Ron?
Hi Susan,
Right now my district is in the middle of unwrapping standards and creating rubrics and assessments in all subject areas. When we get done I'd be happy to share. Check out the Oregon SS standards. They are better than most.

Do you have a link or resource to share?
Permalink Reply by Susan Connelly on August 26, 2012 at 10:14pm Hi Ron, I do now. I went to a CCSS workshop this summer. We went to http://www.corestandards.org during the workshop and then we looked at http://www.smarterbalanced.org tests. The presenters mentioned Kentucky and Massachusetts as good resources for CCSS. NH doesn't seem to have as much out yet. Thanks for sharing Oregon's link. Hope you have a great beginning of the year! Sue
Permalink Reply by Ellen Bourgeois Legros on July 28, 2012 at 1:47pm HI, my name is Ellen Legros. I teach in Louisisana, and this is the first year that they are using CCSS in social studies. Here is the link to LA Dept of Ed website. This is the curriculum that we have been given to use in the classroom.
Permalink Reply by Sue Connelly on November 23, 2012 at 11:28am Hey Ellen, Thanks for this site. There is so much great information here that I can use with my classroom. I found that looking at the Appendix from the CCSS there were many great resources there to use as well. Thanks again for sharing what your state is doing. I will certainly be using some of the super recommendations and guides your state has provided you. You are lucky. Our state hasn't done this type of work for us. We get to do it ourselves.
Great share!!! Thank you,
Sue
