big picture ideas such as the value of social and cultural history or the orientalizing of certain regions' histories (e.g. Near East in beginning of "western civ" then disappears becomes a zone the west interacts with) - and of course i have to carry the flag for teacher activism being a topic...

I am interested in all things Social Studies and with an edcamp social studies, although to attend in person, it would definitely depend on location - i.e. Greg, can't do Vegas. :) Interested in helping plan though.

What started out seemingly as a joke turned into quite a conversation the night of May 22, 2011. I really hope to see this edcamp get pulled off, in Vegas no less.
