Lesson Study Project

Information

We can collaborate together to build a lesson together, teach the same lesson in our classes, observe (with tech) the lesson being taught, and critique the lesson in order to make it better. This is the basis for lesson study.

We're either going to use Skype, Google+ Hangouts or Typewith.me, depending on everyone's convenience and comfortability. Hope you all will join too! We're going to be discussing the current idea on the table: A unit on Defining America. You can check out the discussion on the 'What topic in history' thread. Comment by Nate Everett on July 12, 2011 at 9:19am: So, here on the SS Chat Ning, our goal is to put together a core group of educators who want to work asynchronously in the summer to set goals and plan a PBL lesson, implement the lesson once school starts, observe the lesson (with tech) to focus on student learning (not teacher evaluation), reflect on the lesson and re-implement the lesson. This is a long term process, but a fun one. :) Looking forward to it!
