I know there's been some discussion on this via Twitter, but I'd LOVE to get everyone's input on the best apps for both teachers and students of social studies. If possible, please indicate for which audience the app is most useful or if equally useful for both. Thank you!

PS: I get my iPad in August, so I'm really excited!! :)

iPad apps I especially like:

Wolfram Alpha

TED

NASA HD

The Civil War Today

USA Manual

Stats of the Union

My Congress

Note Taker HD

I am getting my I pad today.  What notetaking ap do you use?  I am thinking evernote but what about others? I know that eveernote is compatible wtih study blue and other study programs so I am going to look at it.  What else should I look at.  BIll, I LOVE th eted ap.  I listen to them on the ride to and from school.  They always inspire me.
I guess it depends on what type of notes you want to create, and where you'll be using them. I 've used many. On the iPad, the one I find most useful is Note Taker HD.
