Place where middle school teachers can share lessons, questions, tools, books, or really anything. Also a place to start dialogue with high school teachers to alleviate transitional issues between middle school and high school.

About Me:
Teaching About Canada supports Canadian Studies in the US K-12 curriculum. We are based at the Canadian-American Center, on the campus of UMaine in Orono - at the crossroads of Atlantic Canada and New England, AND at Plattsburgh State University of New York, 1.5 hours from the second largest French-speaking city in the world, Montreal. Educators Amy Sotherden and Betsy Arntzen provide national outreach and professional development programs for K-12 teachers to address topics related to American and Canadian relations and understanding. Amy: Assistant Director of the Center for the Study of Canada/Institute on Quebec Studies. Betsy: Director of the Office of Canadian Studies Outreach and adjunct faculty at UMaine and Plymouth (NH) State University. We co-lead the annual Quebec Dimensions Summer Institute for K-12 Professionals, which begins and ends in Montreal and travels to Quebec City and environs.
